What is a Hair Transplant?
Depending on the different needs of individuals, the treatment methods and scope of hair loss may vary. Hair transplantation, as a treatment method offered as a solution to hair loss, is realized by transplanting the hair follicles on the nape of the neck or any other part of the body to the places where openness and sparseness occur. In this procedure, which is performed by experts in the operating room under sterile conditions, the openings that usually occur on the crown and forehead are treated by taking the hair follicles in stronger areas one by one after local anesthesia and transplanting them to the needed areas.
This procedure is not painful and can take approximately 4-6 hours depending on the size of the area to be transplanted. The correct technique is extremely important for the newly transplanted hair to adapt to the scalp and grow in a healthy way. After the operation, the patient is advised to rest at home for a few days and not to go out. A few weeks after the hair transplantation, the hair will fall out, but the hair follicles will remain in place. After the hair loss, new hair will grow from the hair follicles that have settled on the skin in a healthy way.
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) Method
The FUT technique, which is a very old method, is performed by cutting a thin strip of hair from the nape of the neck and placing the follicles in the required area. Since the FUT technique is a surgical procedure, a scar about 8-15 cm long remains on the nape of the neck.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) Method
In the FUE method, which is a more up-to-date technique, no incision is made and therefore surgical scarring is prevented. Hair transplantation is realized by transferring the hair follicles taken one by one from the nape area to the channels in the area where they will be transplanted. Another method that has been used more widely recently is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). When the solution produced from cells that help blood clotting is used in the hair transplantation process, it strengthens the transplanted hair follicles and provides new hair growth. Determining the final choice to be most compatible with the hair and skin structure of the person is of great importance in the success of the treatment method to be applied.
Sapphire Fue Hair Transplant Technique
It is an improved and much more comfortable method of the Fut technique. It is the process of collecting hair follicles that are coded not to fall out and transplanting them to the area of hair loss. During the procedure, the donor area and the transplantation area are shaved.
The channels up to the number of grafts required for transplantation are opened with a sapphire tip. Thanks to the sapphire tip used, the lightest possible trauma is created on the scalp. This is one of the most preferred hair transplantation techniques thanks to the comfort it creates. In the sapphire method, no wounds or scars are formed and the healing time of the transplanted area takes an average of 4 days.
Multi implanter hair transplantation is a process applied with both fue and dhi-choi techniques. Thanks to its 10-needle special head, the transplantation process, which takes an average of 3 hours in other hair transplantation methods, is completed in an average of 1 hour with multi-implanter. Thanks to the special needle head designed by calculating the ideal depth where hair follicles can hold under the skin, it reduces root loss by an average of 90%.
Dhi Hair Transplant Technique
It is also known as “Unshaven Hair Transplantation” since there is no need to shave the area where hair transplantation is performed during the procedure. It is a frequently preferred hair transplantation technique for women and men who experience regional hair loss.
The Dhi technique makes a name for itself with the advantages it adds to this application. The most obvious difference from other methods is that it has a gold-tipped needle. Thanks to the gold tip, the risk of infection is reduced and a more natural appearance is achieved. At the same time, when channels are opened for hair follicles, less impact is provided. Since the trauma effect is reduced, healing is experienced more quickly.
